Lineman (Power)

About the Role

Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground power lines, transformers, and related equipment for municipal and private utility clients across New York and Pennsylvania.

Job Expectations

• Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week with potential for overtime
• Work Environment: Outdoor locations, elevated heights, and inclement weather conditions; may require working in rural or remote areas
• Travel Requirements: Regular travel to job sites within NY and PA; often requiring overnight stays
• Safety Standards: Strict adherence to all company and OSHA safety regulations is mandatory
• Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, work in all seasons and weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground power lines, transformers, and related equipment
• Diagnose and repair issues in electrical systems including power outages, line breaks, and equipment failures
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards
• Respond to emergency calls for power outages or line damage under adverse weather conditions
• Conduct regular inspections of power lines and equipment
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed using digital documentation tools
• Participate in ongoing training and development
